1:31pm Sunday 23rd September 2012 in News By Anna Roberts, Crime reporter
The Met Office and Environment Agency have issued a severe weather warning for Sussex.
Most of Sussex has been ranked as yellow – “be aware” – while a small section in the very west of the county is orange – “be prepared”.
It said: “Periods of heavy rain, including some torrential downpours, are likely to occur across parts of southwest and central southern England during Sunday evening and the first part of Monday.
“This will be in addition to the rain which will have fallen during the day on Sunday, such that the public should be prepared for an increased risk of both surface water and river flooding during this period.
