8:05am Monday 24th September 2012 in News By Ben James
A man has died after being struck by a train yesterday evening.
British Transport Police (BTP) were called following reports of a body just north of Wivelsfield Train Station in Burgess Hill.
They attended the scene with Sussex Police at 8.40pm and found the body at the Bedelands foot crossing.
A BTP spokeswoman confirmed that he had been struck by the 19.32 London Victoria to Brighton.
She added: “This incident is currently being treated as non-suspicious. Anyone with information should contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40.
“A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
