Fishing boat rescued in early morning operation

A lifeboat crew has rescued a fishing boat after it started taking on water earlier this morning (September 24).

Rye RNLI were called out around 7am after a boat was reported to be in trouble in the town’s harbour.

They attended along with a number of local fishermen and set about securing the vessel.

Nobody is thought to have been onboard and the boat was made safe.

Well Ben James, you wrote "a boat was reported to be in trouble in the town’s harbour". It's a shame the Argus fails to mention which town. And perhaps people would be interested to know the name of the boat. Are these mere details that are not worth mentioning?

If the paper needs a better standard of writer or editor please get in touch.

So I guess that Rye would be the town.

Do boats get into trouble or is it the crew? A boat was adrift having parted with its moorings and need the lifeboat to re secure alongside.
Rt Hon Danny Alexander MP and the free lunchtime food at the Hotel du Vin was more interesting. Well, the food was.
