Pensioner killed in Lancing road crash named

A pensioner who died after being hit by a car has been named.

Lewis Locke, 91, of Windsor Way, Lancing, was walking when he was involved in a collision at the junction of North Road and Sompting Road, Lancing at about 3.50pm on Wednesday.

The Daewoo Matiz was driven by a 23-year-old woman from Durrington, Worthing.

Mr Locke died on Thursday at Southampton General Hospital where he was taken by air ambulance.
