Man attacked by pair of street robbers in Uckfield

A street attacker stood on the leg of his prone victim while his partner in crime rifled through the man’s pocket.
The pair’s victim was attacked while walking in Keld Close, Uckfield on Sunday at 8.50pm on Sunday when he was asked for a light by a man approaching him from behind.
As he victim turned around he was hit in the face and as he fell to the ground he was kicked in the leg and pinned to the floor by one of his attackers.
A second attacker then started going through the victim's pockets before he managed to break free and started shouting which scared off his attackers who ran towards Alexandra Road.
The two suspects were both described as white, in their late teens or early 20s, about 5' 8" to 6', wearing hooded tops.
The victim received a head injury and was treated at Eastbourne District General Hospital.
