Hello. It was my Dad John who was hit by the car. He is ok. Has 3 fractures to his leg and a fractured cheek. They are operating on his leg this morning. Thanks for your wishes. Claire

Was a few feet from the accident when it happened and like others have said it's good to read he is on the mend.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Claire, my friend and I were very close to your father when the accident happened, as we were about to cross the road too. From what we saw he is extremely lucky to be alive.
It had been quite a thing to witness and we had both found it difficult to settle until we knew he was ok. My friend tracked him down via the hospital and wanted to drop off a Get Well Card yesterday. The staff at the hospital were so welcoming they even wanted us to meet him. We weren't sure if that was appropriate but thankfully having met him was so glad to have as he is a lovely man. He was in great spirits considering what he has been through.
Please send him our luck and wish him well in his recovery.
Colin
