Students give University of Brighton the thumbs up

A university has been given top marks by its students.

The National Student Survey revealed 82% of attendees at the University of Brighton gave it a top rating and on some courses the figure climbed to 90%.

The university was first in the country for satisfaction among students on its building courses, and was placed fourth for fine arts.

Subjects which increased dramatically for overall satisfaction included building, marketing, journalism, music, education, and architecture.

More than 84% of those questioned said they would recommend the University of Brighton to potential students as a place to study, 6% more than the average university.

94% of University of Brighton part-time students said they were satisfied with their courses, compared to the national average of 88%.

Professor Julian Crampton, the University of Brighton's vice-chancellor, said: "The results are very encouraging and show that the vast majority of students were happy and that they valued the quality and relevance of courses.”

Perhaps you should have asked FORMER students! Of course students going there will give it a thumbs up, otherwise they wouldn't be going! It is well known that Sussex is a better uni, hands down, and i say that as a former Brighton student.

Why did they do away with the Teachers Training College. I think there is a need to go back to the old system.
