Brighton and Hove Buses chief open to question

Would you like to quiz key figures in the county?

Are there questions you would love to get the answers to?

We are giving you the chance to put questions to leading figures, politicians and business people across Sussex as part of a new feature called Your Interview.

We have already featured Albion chief executive Paul Barber, Brighton Pavilion Green MP Caroline Lucas and Brighton businessman Mike Holland.

In The Argus on Friday (October 5) we will feature Chief Superintendent Graham Bartlett, the head of policing in the city.

We are now asking our readers for questions for Roger French, managing director of Brighton and Hove Bus and Coach Company.

What would you like to ask Mr French?

Email your questions for Mr French to neil.vowles@theargus.co.uk or call Neil on 01273 544530.

oh dear, you really are anti-bus, aren't you. if you don't ask, you will never find out. that is why so many people appear to know very little.

Can we just give our questions on a slip of paper to a B&H bus driver please? Because I would dearly love to see how many of them actually get through, never mind get answered.

Mind, there may well be a company policy for drivers not to accept questions on company policy...

You lot make me laugh!!! I live in Worthing and as you can see from my 'tag' we have crappy old Stagecoach for our bus service. We have NO SERVICE at all on a sunday or Bank Holidays (except for the 700 and a odd few central services running once an hour) but none where I live. Even in the week daytime, our bus runs every 1 hour & 15 mins and stop at 7pm!!!. That is worse than the most infrequent B&H Sunday service.... and you still moan. You probably have 'one' of the best bus services in the Country and until you get out of your little bubble and experience what the majority of the rest of us have to put up with, then perhaps you will all be greatful for what you actually have... a great service. It may not be 'perfect' but it is **** sight better than SC. I vote we give all the B&H bus drivers 1 day off in the week and sit back and watch the City grind to a halt... then you will realise what you have.

to Worthingwithout buses. it is your choice to live way out in the back of beyond. i live in brighton and pay the price for it so have every right to complain about the service B&H buses have to offer. FTR i dont use them anymore as i find my van is faster, cheaper and a lot more hygienic!

Roger why does the digital display at the railway station tell commuters that the 81 is coming in ten minutes but it never arrives. Christmas arrives more often than this unreliable service.
Sadly, until buses reach into these estates on the hills all over Brighton and Hove on regular timetables, the Eco dream will never happen.
Be aware those of you who want homes in Toads Hole.
You live on a hill, get promised bus services and they become the most unreliable services in the city and you have to get a car or stand in the city with bags of shopping having to pay a tenner for a cab.

Like I said... you live in your little 'Brighton Bubble' and I would hardly call Worthing, a town of 100'000+ "the back of beyond"!! Obviously you have no grasp on Sussex geography except Brighton or you would not make such stupid remarks! Why do you have the right to complain about it as if you say "you don't use them anymore" then you are NOT paying for them. My point was... we in "the back of beyond" otherwise known as Worthing... would love a bus service even half as good as you have in Brighton. Enjoy getting stuck on London Road for 30 mins trying to get out of the City in you nice clean van, won't you?

I am not anti bus just anti Roger "I'm so bloody wonderful" French and why would I need to ask him questions having been on the inside and not as a driver, much higher up the tree

I would also ask roger why he thought it was safe to bring bendy buses into Brighton when other cities have removed them due to concerns about cyclists and pedestrian safety.
I ask this after being shoved out of the cycle lane twice yesterday by the buses rear ends sticking out across the lane.
