Police investigate "abduction" report in Eastbourne

Sussex Police are investigating a report that a man was forced into the back of a truck against his will in Eastbourne this afternoon.

They are searching for witnesses who may have seen the man being bundled into a distinctive truck similar to those used to collect rubbish in Jevington Gardens, Eastbourne, at about 2.50pm today.

Anyone with information is asked to call Sussex Police on 101.

It might be that a work colleague on the refuse truck had "Dropped one" and he was resisting returning to his seat. It could be he was put in the compactor in which case look for him at the landfill
