The Level set to be transformed for art festival
3:50pm Friday 5th October 2012 in News
A green city centre square is set to be transformed with a two-day art festival.
CooktheRabbit Events will host the Lantern Fayre at The Level in Brighton on Saturday and Sunday featuring a range of art workshops, eclectic bands, an open-air cinema and Same Sky’s Skydome.
The event, organised by the team behind Kemptown Carnival, will also feature giant games including tug o’ war, tiddlywinks, Jenga and space hopper challenges.
A protective covering will also be installed to cover visitors to the site from any bad weather.

I was under the impression that the Level was bequeathed to the council 'for use by the children of Brighton' I didn't think this included a load of arty **** workshops and the great unwashed listening to 'eclectic bands' while slugging cans of cheap lager. I hope it pours down

I really don't think shared pavement/bike lanes work......and as I suffered a broken collar bone on the seafront after an excitable dog on an extendable lead ran in front of me, I stick to the main road as its safer, althought the road surface along the stretch at the bottom of south over street is shocking.
