Crawley zombies break UK record Crawley zombies break UK record

A zombie invasion descended on Sussex - but thankfully only for a record attempt.

Tulleys Farm Shocktober Fest aimed to break the world record for the number of zombies in one place this weekend.

The 2,113-strong horde missed out on the world title, but still managed to break the UK record.

Stuart Beare, the organiser of the Scream Park near Crawley, said: “The zombies of Britain did us proud but in the end sadly it wasn’t enough to set a new world record.

“We still had zombies arriving but it was clear we were not going to break the record.

“It was a fantastic night and I’d like to thank all the enthusiastic zombies who turned out to help try to break the record.”

Among the zombies was Shane Ritchie, who plays Alfie Moon in EastEnders.

Perhaps next year they could stage an event arachnid costumes. It might be a win with Crawley Spiders!
