A cyclist suffered serious head injuries after he collided with a car on the A27 near Chichester.

The 35-year-old man was travelling along Arundel Road near Meadow Way in Boxgrove at about 10.40pm on Saturday, October 6 when he was hit by a red Vauxhall Zafira.

The cyclist, a local man, received a serious head injury and was taken to St Richards Hospital for treatment. The driver of the Vauxhall, a man in his 30s from Worthing, was not injured.

Anyone with information regarding the collision is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 1759 of 6/10.
