Motorcyclist in hospital after Ashurst road crash

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after a crash with a car.
The incident involving a Yamaha motorbike and a green Ford Fiesta happened on the B2135 Bines Road in Ashurst, near Steyning, at 8.15pm last night.
The rider, a 51-year-old man from Crawley, was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with serious injuries.
The driver of the Ford Fiesta was suffered shock and whiplash but was not taken to hospital while the driver of a third vehicle, a black Mercedes, was uninjured.
The road was closed for more than an hour while emergency services dealt with the incident.
