Three men had to be cut free from a car after a crash outside a shopping centre.

Emergency services were called to an incident involving two vehicles in Haslett Avenue outside County Mall in Crawley at about 10pm last night.

Images produced by West Sussex and Fire and Rescue show a door of a white vehicle was knocked off in the incident.

Three men had to be cut free by fire crews from the vehicle and were taken to hospital for further treatment.

Officers from Sussex Police also attended as the road was closed for about an hour.

A spokeswoman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue said the matter was left with police.

That area has had so many accidents and near misses since the roundabouts were removed and traffic lights installed as part of the fastway works.
A green light for traffic waiting to turn right into Station way is mistaken by some drivers as a green light to turn when actually they still have to give way to oncoming traffic.
I have had to brake for drivers making this mistake on at least five occasions.
