Hooded teens threaten petrol station attendant

Two hooded teenagers threatened a 62-year-old petrol station attendant before fleeing empty handed.

The tracksuit wearing duo approached the cashier at the Price Watch station, Trinity Trees, Eastbourne, last Friday (October 12) at around 8.30pm.

The worker refused to hand over any money and the teens fled in the direction of the seafront.

Officers with police dogs searched the surrounding area but the suspects were not located.

Both are male and thought to be between 15 and 18-years-old. One is white and the other black.

DC Andrew Mountford-Laker, of East Sussex CID, said: "Fortunately the victim was not injured and was able to raise the alarm very soon after the incident.

"Officers are continuing with house to house enquiries and viewing CCTV. I would urge anyone who has any information to get in touch.”

Contact police on 101 quoting serial 1627 of 12/10 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

As its Eastbourne perhaps the Police and council will try and bring the boys to justice. if it had been Brighton our MP would have found ways to help the boys use their obvious creativity and give them a grant for doing so.
