Knifeman robs smoker of his cigarettes

A knifeman threatened a 28-year-old before stealing his packet of cigarettes.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened yesterday in Chiltern Drive, Hastings, at around 11.15pm.

The suspect pulled out a craft knife and demanded the man gave him money.

With no cash on him, he handed over his cigarettes.

The victim received a slight cut to his arm but didn’t need medical treatment.

The suspect is described as white, possibly in his early twenties, about 5'8" to 5'10", wearing a black hooded top and dark blue jeans with white trainers.

He also had a black bandana with a skull print on the front.

Detective Constable Mark Waughman said; "If you were in the Chiltern Drive area late last night and saw this man, please call us on 101 quoting serial 1853 of 16/10. You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."

In years to come the victim will thank the robber due to no shortness of breath, random coughing and clean lungs.

Desperate , desperate times. I hope he didn'tt risk his liberty for a cheap 'growler', only B&H will do!

Sorry to butt in but mugging can be a drag, we have to filter these people out before we have to packet in. These people just roll-up in our coastal towns and we need to weed them out. Fags stealing is on the increase. Smoke them out.
