Fish and chip shop thief ran off when owner shouted at him

A hooded man who stormed into a fish and chip shop demanding money ran off when the owner shouted at him.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened at King Fish on Maidenbower Square, Crawley, last Wednesday (October 10) at 9.15pm.
The suspect, who was wearing a black hoody which just exposed his eyes, threatened the proprietor and demanded money from the till.
But when the owner shouted at him he ran off empty handed.
The suspect is described as white, about 5' 7", of proportionate build, wearing a black hood, black jeans and trainers.
Detective Constable Phil Peadon said: "If you were in the Maidenbower Square area on Wednesday evening October 10 and saw this man, or have any other information, please contact us on 101 quoting serial 1665 of 2/10. You can also call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
