Rabbits rescued from pub blaze in Chichester
Firefighters had to hop to it to save two bunnies from a blaze in a pub this morning.
The Chequers pub in Oving Road caught alight at about 2am, with the fire starting in a first floor bedroom of the two storey building.
Six fire appliances from West Sussex Fire and Rescue rushed to the scene.
While the occupants had already escaped the building, firefighters managed to rescue the two rabbits in their cage as they tackled the flames.
The building was left with 100% smoke damage, 20% heat damage and 10% fire damage.
Fire crews were still on the scene at 7am this morning and police are investigating the fire.

Very brave rabbits, tackling the flames from their cage! Was one of them Firebugs Bunny by any chance?
