Driver arrested after tanker crash near Uckfield

Emergency services were on alert this morning after a car collided with a petrol tanker.
The crash happened on the A26 near Little Horsted at about 6.10am.
One person was trapped in the car and had to be released by firefighters.
They were taken to hospital.
Police said the car driver was arrested on suspicion of a driving offence.
The road was closed as a precaution but no fuel had spilled and it was reopened by 7am.
