Albion chief exec says club is envy of Premier teams

ALBION fans have been told their club will be the envy of some Premier League outfits thanks to a new shirt sponsorship.

The Seagulls will be backed by American Express, who already have stadium-naming rights to the club’s home in Falmer, and will wear a new-look kit next season.

Chief executive Paul Barber reckons more big name sponsors could follow.

He said: “There are a lot of clubs in the Premiership who would love to be working with global brands such as American Express and can’t get to that level off the pitch.”

He added: “If we move to the next level of the game, brand benefits will reverberate not just across this country but also across the world.

“Big brands attract big brands. One of the most important aspects of this deal is that it opens doors for us to work with other big companies.”

Albion will be looking for a new kit provider from 2014.
