AN estimated £25-million of business gathered at Sea Life Brighton for a networking event with a difference – an after-dark, behind-the-scenes tour of the world’s oldest operating aquarium.

The event, organised by Brighton and Hove Chamber of Commerce, saw representatives from more than 30 of the city’s brightest businesses immerse themselves in the underwater world.

With thousands of beautiful sea creatures to admire and enjoy at the aquarium, it was two giant Japanese Spider Crabs, housed in the Claws exhibit, that proved to be the most popular with the evening’s guests.

Visitors were also invited to take a ride on Sea Life Brighton’s unique glass-bottomed boat – the first of its kind in the country – and explore the unseen workings of the attraction.

Max Leviston, general manager of Sea Life Brighton, said: “It was a pleasure to welcome Brighton’s business community to Sea Life Brighton.

“I think we’ve raised the bar when it comes to networking venues

“Sea Life Brighton has been a huge part of the city and its economy for centuries, so we were pleased of this opportunity to share our history and experience with companies that will be driving Brighton forward in the future.

“Brighton has a thriving, talented and growing business community, and we hope that this visit to Sea Life Brighton will be as inspirational as it was enjoyable.”
