ASPEN Pumps - the global leader in design, manufacture and distribution of condensate removal pumps - has supported a children’s hospice.

The company - based at Apex Way, Hailsham - has raised £2,445 after 11 staff members cycled from its HQ to Paris.

The team covered 130 miles in 24 hours, finishing at the headquarters of Aspen’s Paris based distributor, Salina SAS.

Joe Rose, head of group marketing at Aspen Pumps, said: “Myself and my colleagues who undertook this cycling challenge are delighted to have raised so much money for such a worthwhile cause.

“Whilst it was tough cycling so far in such a short space of time, our efforts have been totally rewarded by the great support we received from everyone who sponsored us - so thank you to every one of them.

“We are very proud to support Chestnut Tree House, which offers support to families of local children with life-shortening conditions and are a crucial lifeline for many families in the area.”

Mikayla Bernstein, corporate fundraiser at Chestnut Tree House, said: “Well done to the team at Aspen for completing their challenge and thank you so much for raising crucial funds for us as part of it.

“The money raised will be vital to us in continuing to offer care to children and families in the local area, and helping us to reach even more families who need our support.

“It currently costs well over £3.5m each year to provide all the care services offered by Chestnut Tree House and families are never charged for their care.

“We receive less than seven per cent of our funding from central government so rely heavily on businesses like Aspen Pumps who take on amazing challenges to fundraise for us.”

Aspen Pumps is committed to supporting the valuable work of charities like Chestnut Tree House and is set to continue this support in the future.
