CHARTERS Village - a private retirement village for the over 65s in East Grinstead - has received a highly commended award for the Best Retirement Scheme at the Housebuilder Awards 2017.
The annual awards recognise the very best new build property projects across the country and are judged by some of the industry’s leading experts.
The retirement category was looking for schemes which provide the highest standards in quality and sustainable living for retirees.
The village has won numerous national awards since it opened in 2014, scooping the Best Retirement Scheme in the UK in the Housebuilder Awards in 2014 as well as collecting a Silver accolade at the prestigious WhatHouse awards.
Manager Nigel Walter said: “I’m extremely proud to see Charters Village commended in yet another top award.
“To be recognised in this way is a real testament to the village, the excellence of our staff, our superb build quality and our fantastic residents.”
The village includes Charters Towers, a refurbished arts and crafts building.
