HEALTH communications agency Pegasus held a silent art auction raising more than £800.

The money will be shared between homelessness charity The Clock Tower Sanctuary and national mental health charity Mind.

The talented team created over 50 pieces of artwor, and sold through an online auction. In the last furious minutes of the auction, colleagues were outbidding each other to get their hands on a Pegasus original!

Organiser Kat Thay said: “We have some incredible artists here at Pegasus and not just within our design studio.

“This was a great opportunity to have some fun, show off the great talent in the agency, and raise some valuable funds for an important local charity – especially at Christmas.

“I couldn’t believe how many of our team got involved, and it’s brilliant to think that so many Pegasus works of art will be hanging up in homes all round Brighton!”

Managing Director Simon Hackett supported the auction by buying a couple of pieces of art for his own home.

He said: “I love the initiative shown by our team here to hold not only such an entertaining event, but to think of such original ways to support our local community.

“It’s real testament to the spirited and supportive culture that exists here at Pegasus.”

The Clock Tower Sanctuary and Mind are Pegasus’s nominated charities for 2017.

The Clock Tower Sanctuary is situated in Wenlock House, North Street, and provides a safe space for homeless young people.

Mind is a mental health charity.

It says: “ We’re here to make sure no-one has to face a mental health problem alone.”

Pegasus is an Ashfield company, part of UDG Healthcare plc, based at Sovereign House, Church Street, Brighton.

Its motto is: “Inspiring healthy decisions through creative, inspirational and integrated communications. We inspire healthy decisions with smart, impactful ideas.”
