A HOME care company which provides support for older people in Eastbourne, Polegate and Hailsham has been awarded the highest national accolade in the care sector.
Home Instead Senior Care was inspected by the independent care sector regulator, the Care Quality Commission for the first time in October.
The service, owned and managed by husband and wife team Ian and Soraya Cottrell, has been rated outstanding.
Mr Cottrell said: “Soraya and I provide this service because we care and we love what we do.
“We know that we have a very special team of caregivers so it is really affirming to see their hard work and dedication recognised in this way.
“We couldn’t be happier to have received an outstanding rating for our very first Care Quality Commission inspection.”
The couple launched the company in 2015, after Mr Cottrell spent three years volunteering for Age Concern.
