A HAIR SALON which has been transforming hair for more than three decades has been given a prestigious commendation by a beauty review website.

Peewees Hair Salon, in Burgess Hill, received a certificate of excellence and five stars from salonspy.com in its annual review.

Founded by Lee Gold in 1986, the salon has been creating hairstyles and colours ever since – now armed with a team of 17 stylists and hairdressers.

A spokesman for the salon said: “Peewees are incredibly proud to have received this award.

“We have worked so hard to achieve this status and intend to stay at the top.”

Peewees uses top of the range hair products such as Sexyhair, GHD and Paul Mitchell to complete its looks.

The salon also has its own salon training school, in which they pride themselves on taking great care in.

The training school is open to the public every Tuesday, with appointments getting booked up very quickly as locals book a quality haircut at discount prices.

Those wanting a hair cut at the salon can also enjoy a relaxing experience at The Wash House, with reclining chairs and shiatsu head massages accompanied by hair treatments, including Moroccan oil, Paul Mitchell’s super strength treatment, Sexyhair’s volumising treatment or even a treatment to refresh dyed hair.

Peewees is open six days a week, and is open until 8pm every Wednesday and Thursday.

For discounts, including appointments with the salon’s top artistic directors and the founder Lee, customers should visit the Peewees website at www.peewees.co.uk
