SPECSAVERS Seaford has just welcomed a new store director to the team at the Broad Street store but he is a familiar face to staff and customers.

That is because long-standing store manager Chris Titherington has just successfully completed his pathway programme with Specsavers.

He now becomes a fully-fledged joint venture partner at the store.

Pathway is a six month intensive course made up of eight modules, designed to help talented team members develop their personal and professional skills before becoming a Specsavers partner.

Chris said: ‘The pathway process was intense but incredibly rewarding.

“I received a lot of support from my fellow store directors, and from the wider Specsavers family.

“The opportunity to network with others in the same position as me was great.

“When I first joined Specsavers 15 years ago I would never have predicted that I would eventually have a stake in my own store but it shows that hard work and commitment pays off.”

Martin East, store director in Seaford, said: “I am incredibly proud of Chris and everything that he has achieved.

“He has done a terrific job as store manager, and really is at the heart of the success of the Seaford store.

“Hard work really does pay dividends at Specsavers.

“Chris has shown real commitment to the store for nearly a decade now, and I look forward to continuing to work with him to make it even better in the months and years to come.”
