A LONG-ESTABLISHED estate agents has been bought by sales and lettings agent Brand Vaughan.

The purchase of Bonett’s in Brighton brings Brand Vaughan’s number of properties under management in the city to 1,650.

It also marks its second acquisition in six months following the purchase of Tanat Jones in December.

Bonett’s was established nearly 30 years ago by Paul Bonett to become one of Brighton’s most respected property agents.

It will consolidate with, and operate under, the Brand Vaughan banner and its staff will join the now 50-strong Brand Vaughan team.

Brand Vaughan chief executive Tom Ghibaldan said: “Paul Bonett is a champion of integrity in the Brighton estate agency and lettings markets and it was that shared value that appealed to us.

“We were impressed by his operation in Brighton, its strong reputation for high standards within the local area.

“The firm will be a welcome addition to the growing Brand Vaughan business.

“Bonett’s marks our second acquisition in six months, underlining our ongoing consolidation strategy.

“There is a strong pipeline of opportunities for us in the local market this year.

“We are open to discussing potential mergers with local agencies considering their own exit strategy and would welcome conversations with those eager to learn more.”

Paul Bonett, founder and owner, described Brand Vaughan as “a safe pair of hands”.

He said: “They are a good fit to take the Bonett’s business forward while safeguarding our high standing reputation within the Brighton and Hove market.

“Tom and his team are similarly dedicated to quality service, both in terms of properties available and our interactions with customers.”
