The ribbon has been cut on a new era for the Brighton Centre.
Brighton and Hove City Council leader Bill Randall was joined by tourism cabinet member Geoffrey Bowden in marking the official opening of the refurbished seafront venue.
It comes after £1 million was promised to build a new front, fit new doors, improve the foyer and redesign the restaurant – after replacement of over 4,000 seats, interiors modernised and meeting facilities improved.
Howard Barden, the Brighton Centre acting general manager, said: “With the completion of these works, we anticipate we will greatly enhance the delegate and visitor experience keeping the venue competitive and relevant on both the national and international conference venues scene.”
It has a capacity of 5,000 with the largest purpose-built conference and exhibition space in the south of England.

On the article above that we are not allowed to comment on , I thought the travellers were here visiting relatives for Xmas - mind when I visit relatives I stay in a small hotel nearby. In is now January so why haven't they moved on?

Erm, so the doors look like any other revolving doors. What does the refurbished building look like??

Or maybe the council are scared of the obvious answer to 'Brighton and Hove City Council officials said they were aware of the new camp and were deciding what to do about it.' which is to get go to court immediately to evict them and do this immediately every time this occurs. Or is that too difficult?

That's what needs to happen.
And the link to Churchill Square should be restored. It used to connect to the side of Tescos.
