Cabinet member for culture, recreation and tourism and chair of the Kemp Town Carnival, Geoffrey Bowden, called for businesses to support the community celebration.

He said: “The carnival is a unique opportunity for businesses to be part of a vibrant event that is long-established in the hearts of the local community.

“Steadily growing in popularity, the event has earned itself a great reputation which has been reflected in visitor feedback and press coverage. “We have sponsor packages to suit each size of business and desired level of exposure and would like a range of local partners to come on board.” Sponsorship packages range from £250-£5,000.”
