Hove businessman blogs his way to success
3:25pm Friday 17th August 2012 in Business News
A company that helps firms improve their relationships with customers has been honoured for its own best practice.
Rare Business has been named in the Small Business Network’s Best Practice Exchange (BPE). Run in association with the Guardian newspaper, the BPE is open to all UK businesses with an annual
turnover of up to £15 million. The aim is to collect and share as many examples of best practice across
small and medium sized businesses and reward innovation. Adrian Swinscoe, boss at the firm in Lansdowne Place, Hove, said his business has always been driven by referrals, word of mouth and
networking.
He said his regular blog www.adrian-swinscoe.com is a key part of that process.
He said: “I have been writing the blog since 2009 and it has generated a lot of interest. It is good for attracting new business.
“I write a lot about employee engagement and a major international firm based in Oxfordshire read about it and asked me essentially to referee a wrestling match between its marketing and HR
departments. I was able to achieve a good resolution for them.
“We’ve been growing for more than 16 years. The past five years have been challenging but we are still here.”
