A food festival attracted thousands of visitors this weekend.
More than 54,000 visitors descended on the Big Sussex Market in New Road, Brighton.
The market was part of the Brighton and Hove Autumn Food Festival.
It featured 84 stalls with 92% being growers, producers or restaurants from Brighton and Sussex.
Stallholders reported bumper trading days and The Montefiore Hospital, the event sponsor, handed out more than 1,750 shopping bags in just three hours.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, the Brighton and Hove Food and Drink Festival is the biggest food event in the south of England with a combined footfall of 160,000 at its events across 2011.
Festival director Nick Mosley said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to the festival committee, our volunteers, our sponsors, and all the food businesses that pull together to create this incredible 10 days of food events twice a year.
“I believe the food festival and the activities we support across the year are a true representation of the spirit of Brighton and Hove.”
