The Sussex Business Awards, held earlier last month at the South Lodge Hotel near Horsham, has raised £1,500 for Brighton-based charity, Rockinghorse.

Celebrating business excellence across Sussex, the Awards are the longest established scheme of its kind in the county and welcomed five hundred of the county’s leading business people including VIPs Peter Field, Lord Lieutenant of East Sussex and Chairman of the Judges, Caroline Lucas MP, Tim Loughton MP, Hugh Burnett OBE and Jason Kitcat, Leader of Brighton & Hove City Council.

Supporting children for over 40 years, Rockinghorse is the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital and aims to make life better for children in hospital in Sussex and beyond.

Ryan Heal, Chief Executive of Rockinghorse children’s charity, said: “Once again the business community of Sussex have shown what a charitable community they, helping raise money for the children of Sussex - the perfect early Christmas present!”
