Indie movie gets jump start
An independent film distributor has released its latest movie.
Billboard stars Brighton-born Lucy Griffiths who played Marian in the recent TV series Robin Hood.
It was written and directed by Jamie Patterson, who set up Jump Start Distributions in Gloucester Road with business partner Nathalie Holman.
Mr Patterson said the movie had its premiere at the Komedia in Gardner Street and is available on DVD at Dave’s Comics in Sydney Street, Timeslip in Trafalgar Street and Video Box in Elm Grove.
Mr Patterson said: “We’ve decided to self distribute the film through Jump Start. We’re going to put posters up all around Brighton with the slogan ‘Have you seen Billboard yet?’. I’m hoping that will create a word-of-mouth buzz on the film and help make it a cult hit.”
