A DOG running across the A27 has caused a seven-car crash.
The road is closed both ways in Lancing as emergency services work to clear the site.
Sussex Police are at the scene.
There are no injuries to report.
Firefighters were called to the scene at around 7.50pm, and were gone 20 minutes later.
A spokesman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: "No persons were trapped and there were no injuries.
"It was caused by a dog running across the road."
The road is expected to re-open shortly.
