ANGMERING cancer support charity Cancer United has received £750 funding from CALA Homes for its support bus as part of the housebuilder’s new Bursary scheme.
Cancer United provides advice and support to locals affected by cancer. Founded in 2012 by Jan Sheward, the charity offers support groups and a specialist cancer exercise facility.
The donation from CALA Homes has been used to help maintain Cancer United’s support bus, which provides mobile support around the community.
The CALA Community Bursary was launched last year and the housebuilder invited local charities, organisations and groups to apply for help to fund projects which make a vital difference in and around their communities.
