POLICE have released an e-fit of a robber who punched a woman before stealing her phone and bank card.
The 20-year-old victim was walking home in St Leonards last Friday night when the man threw her to the ground and beat her.
He verbally abused the woman, too, before taking her phone and card.
She declined medical help and was badly shaken by the attack.
The robber pounced on her as she passed a metal staircase at the rear of the Royal Victoria Hotel in East Ascent.
The man is white, 6ft, in his mid-twenties and with brown hair tied back in a pony tail.
He was wearing a blue waxed jacket, dark trousers and white trainers.
Anyone who recognises the e-fit or has information about the attack should call police on 101 quoting serial 9 of 10/02.
