A FAMILY man says he has never looked back after giving up the high-pressured world of telecommunications to take over a mobility business.
Atlas Mobility in East Street, Horsham, was taken over two years ago by Simon Donovan.
The mobility retailer opened in 2002 next to the Horsham iron railway bridge.
Simon’s background is one of commerce and health, and in 2014 he left telecommunications to train as a fitness instructor.
This training and hands-on approach now helps him to benefit customers.
He said:“I’m here to help and I see this as a natural progression for me to now support visitors to the shop with more than just a sales hat on, but as a person who has the expertise to understand their medical aliments and what will help them.
“Most importantly I enjoy helping others.”
Atlas is not just for the elderl, but also for anyone suffering a minor injury, change in lifestyle or just developing the signs of maturing age.
He said: “You don’t get the kind of service we offer from a mail order company based miles away from your address once they’ve taken your payment and delivered the scooter.
“We offer that ongoing service, the support for people who don’t understand how the scooter works or if it goes wrong.
“We’re on hand to help and are happy to offer a scooter MOT if they pop into the store.”
