Brighton, Concorde 2, Saturday, June 16

The band who can claim that they had the first ever rap song to break the UK Top 40, The Sugarhill Gang will be bringing a bit of ‘Rappers Delight’ to Brighton and taking the city back to where rap music began.

A nine year hiatus between 1985 and 1994 left somewhat of a rap void, whilst 2016 saw the band embark on their first world tour in over ten years.

They’ve since headlined festivals across the globe so you’d be crazy not to pounce of this chance to see them in relatively intimate digs.
