HEARTLESS thieves stole baby clothes kept by a mother whose baby had died.
They also swiped from the infant's mother an iPhone containing photos of the child, who died after being born prematurely.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the burglary at a flat in Malvern Way, Hastings, between 9am and 2.10pm on Monday (October 13).
A Playstation 3 with two controllers was also taken. The white iPhone had a cracked screen.
Detective Constable Cally Fox said: "Every burglary is traumatic but the victim in this case is particularly upset by the loss of such sentimental items as the baby clothes and the iPhone with her baby pictures on it.
"We desperately want to reunite her with her items and need to speak to anyone who could have been offered them or who could know who has them.
"We would also like to speak to anyone who saw people acting suspicious in or around Malvern Way on Monday. If you saw anything at all, please contact us."
