A SPATE of Halloween burglaries may be linked, police say.
Jewellery and cash were taken in four burglaries while in a fifth apparent attempt, householders came home to find a pitchforck stuck in the grass.
Police are investigating the possibility that all five incidents in Worthing on Friday October 31 are linked. They took place between breakfast time and late evening.
The burglaries were in Longlands Glade, Uplands Avenue, Clyde Road and Chute Avenue, while the attempt was in Southdown Avenue, Broadwater.
Detective Constable Emma Fields appealed for anyone who noticed any vehicles or people acting suspiciously in those areas on Friday to come for.
