THOUSANDS of pounds worth of jewellery and designer bags has been stolen in a burglary.
Intruders smashed the patio doors of a house in Hastings Road, Battle, on Monday at some point between 7.45am and 5pm.
They stole jewellery including a platinum and diamond ring, a platinum ruby and diamond engagement ring and a set of personalised dog tags with blue diamonds worth more than £21,000.
Three Louis Vuitton bags and two purses and a Gucci purse were also taken.
Anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious, or may have been offered items in suspicious circumstances, is asked to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phone 101, quoting serial 1218 of 10/11.
