TWO lorry drivers had diesel stolen from their trucks while they slept.
One driver woke at 4am today to find half of his diesel tank had been siphoned and the fuel stolen.
He was parked in a layby on the A264 at Faygate, near Horsham.
Earlier in the week, on Monday, another lorry driver told police he had woken at 6.30am to find he could not start his lorry.
Having parked in a layby on the A24 at Southwater the night before, he discovered 200 litres of diesel had been stolen from the tank.
Lorry drivers are now being asked to stay vigilant and secure their fuel tanks if possible.
Anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously or has information on the thefts, should contact police on 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 0223 of 10/11.
