POLICE officers discovered a £10,000 stash of cannabis after stopping a driver for not wearing his seat belt.
West Sussex road policing officers pulled over a car in Pelham Place, Crawley on Monday morning after spotting its driver was not wearing a seat belt.
Officers also found a small quantity of cannabis plants and a subsequent search of a business unit in Newdigate Road in Rusper near Horsham and a home in Caburn Heights, Crawley, uncovered cannabis plants with a total estimated potential street value of £10,000.
The driver, a 29-year old man, and his passenger a 30-year old woman, both from Crawley, were arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis and have been released on police bail until July 23.
