A MAN who was killed in a car crash in the early hours of Saturday has been named.
Samuel Frost, 27 of Chiltern Crescent, Worthing, died when the van he was in careered off the road and smashed into a tree.
Police were called just before 1am to the crash site in Offington Avenue near the junction with Warren Gardens, Worthing.
A 31-year-old man from Worthing remains on police bail until July 3 having been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
Three other men that were initially arrested are no longer being considered as suspects but instead as significant witnesses in the investigation.
Sergeant Rob Baldwin said: "We are continuing to piece together what happened as we investigate this collision where one man sadly died."
