ANOTHER two Range Rovers have been stolen from outside homes in Brighton and Hove.

The gang of thieves remains at large despite an ongoing police investigation and six arrests.

In each incident, the crooks have managed to drive away with the high-end 4x4s without access to the keys.

Between 7.30pm and 10pm on Saturday, a blue Range Rover was taken from the driveway of a house in Graham Avenue, Brighton.

A grey Range Rover Evoque parked on the road in Denmark Villas was then stolen between 10pm on Sunday and 5.30am on Monday.

A total of 15 of the vehicles have been snatched from driveways and outside homes since January 23.

Previously, owner Chris Demetriou suffered a slashed arm as he attempted to stop the theft of his £85,000 Range Rover Sport before the gang smashed through the garden wall in the vehicle at his mother-in-law’s house last month.

Detective Inspector Julie Wakeford said: “The thefts are the first of their kind for four weeks in Brighton and Hove.

“Since the series began, we have been urging the owners of Range Rovers to be careful when and how they park their cars to reduce the chance of them being stolen.

“The thieves have not needed the keys to any of the vehicles to steal them, so they must be using kit that allows them to get past the vehicles’ security systems to start the cars.

“We still need residents to keep an eye open for people acting suspiciously in their area, especially if they live near people who own Range Rovers.

“If you see anyone acting suspiciously in your area, please call us urgently.

“I would also again urge Range Rover drivers to be particularly vigilant, to consider the security of their vehicles and to contact us if they have any suspicions at all about people near their property.”

Four men from Brighton aged 27, 28, 31 and 49, a 23-year-old man from London and a 33-year-old man from Eastbourne are all currently on bail in connection with the case.
