AN arrest has unearthed a clutch of fishing and cycling items believed to be stolen.

Police in Hastings want to reunite property with its rightful owners.

The haul includes fishing equipment with boxes of bait, fishing trousers, a green fishing net, rods, tents, a pressure washer, numerous power and hand tools, camping gear, bicycle wheels, frames and a mountain bike.

This picture shows some of the more potentially identifiable items.

PC Simon Knight of the Hastings Neighbourhood Police Team said: "I'm keen for residents of Hastings and St Leonards who have recently had their sheds, garages or outbuildings broken into to make contact with me personally as some of the property may belong to recent victims.

"If you think that some of the property is yours, you can understand that I will need some proof of ownership.

"This could be a receipt of purchase, or perhaps you can identify a distinguishing mark on the item that is unique and only something the owner would know of."
