A MAN got out of a white works van and punched a passer-by at 6.30am on a Wednesday.
Police in Hastings are seeking witnesses to a man being attacked near the One Stop shop in Blackman Avenue, St Leonards.
It happened at around 6.30am on Wednesday, July 15 when a white works van pulled up at the bus stop outside the shop.
A man got out and assaulted the victim, a 25-year-old local man, who was walking nearby.
The victim was punched before escaping to return home and report the incident to police.
He did not require medical attention.
PC Ben Woods, of the Hastings Response Investigation Team, said: "People were passing the scene in vehicles and on foot at the time this assault took place."
