A BABY-FACED cyclist held up a teenager with a knife.

The victim, from Angmering, handed over cash and, though unhurt, was left shaken by the incident.

The knifepoint robbery happened near Sainsbury's supermarket on the Rustington Retail Park on the A259 New Road, Rustington at about 5.30pm on Sunday, July 26.

The 19-year-old victim was himself cycling along the road when his path was blocked by the robber, who produced a knife and demanded money.

The suspect rode off towards Littlehampton.

He is described as a white man, in his late teens or early 20s, 5ft 8in, of skinny build, baby-faced and with short dark hair.

He was wearing a dark blue hoody, white T-shirt and dark blue jeans, and was riding a blue mountain bike.

Detective Constable Mandy Taylor, of West Sussex CID, said: "This was an isolated incident, but the A259 is a busy road and someone may recall seeing it.

"I'd ask that anyone who did, or who may have other information, gets in touch with us as soon as possible."
