A “CONTROLLING” man who “preyed” on young, vulnerable women has gone to jail for 15 years.

Karl Hance put his victims through “horrific” ordeals, police said.

The 28-year-old, of Church Twitten, Lewes, was handed an eight year sentence for sexual assault by penetration and rape against one woman, and a 15 sentence for sexual assault by penetration, two counts of rape and one of actual bodily harm. The sentence will run concurrently.

The offences took place in Lewes last year against two women who he knew.

DC Julie Nightingale said: "Hance is a controlling individual who preyed on young, vulnerable woman.

"His sentence reflects the horrific ordeals he put these women through.

"We take these types of offences extremely seriously and would encourage anyone else who has experienced them to come forward and speak to us."
